Application for an extension of time in connection with the ABPI Advanced Programme for Industry Personnel (previously called ABPI Medical Representatives Examination) and the ABPI Intermediate Programme for Industry Personnel (previously called ABPI Generic Sales Representatives Examination)

Clause 9.4 of the Code requires that representatives must take an appropriate examination within their first year of employment as a representative and pass it within two. Under the supplementary information to Clause 9.4, the Chief Executive of the PMCPA can grant an extension in the event of extenuating circumstances, subject to the representative passing an appropriate examination within a reasonable time.

Please note that any personal information provided concerning the representative in this application will be used solely for the Chief Executive of the PMCPA to decide if an extension might be granted.

It is preferable for the application to be made by the company rather than the representative.

If this application is made on behalf of the representative by the company then this application can only proceed if the representative agrees for any personal information concerning them is provided to the PMCPA with their consent.
